The Rooted Retreat in Zihuatanejo, Mexico (October 8–13) is a luxury wellness escape set along the stunning Pacific coast.   • 6-Person Suite: Each person has their own bed, some of the beds are bunks. Large private bathroom. Ocean-view balcony. 

Cost for 6-Person Accommodation Package: $2100 p/person

  • King Suite: SOLD OUT (If you are a couple who wants to register, we may be able to shift current reservations to get you a King Suite, but these are currently full so early inquiry on this is a must.) 

One King Bed and Private Bathroom. All but one King Suites have an ocean view balcony.

GETTING THERE

You will Fly into ZIH (Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa) airport. It’s a 20-minute drive to Casa Garrobo. Rachel arranges all your transport. If you would like for her to also book your flights to ensure you have the best possible itinerary, and air support from her team if needed, you can pay an additional $50 fee for this added service.

Travel Safety Update

As many of you are probably aware, Mexico experienced some political unrest recently. On February 22, 2026, isolated criminal incidents occurred in parts of the state of Jalisco, including vehicle burnings and temporary road disruptions. Images from these events circulated widely across international media and social platforms.

The incidents occurred on February 22 and were resolved the same day.
There were no casualties in Puerto Vallarta’s tourist zones.
No gunfire occurred in tourist areas.
No visitors were targeted.
The temporary security alert (“Código Rojo”) was lifted on February 24, 2026.
As of today, Puerto Vallarta is fully calm and operating normally.

Please note that Puerto Vallarta is 10 hours and 40 minutes from Zihuatanejo. Our area is not close to where the unrest occurred. Nothing has happened since to indicate safety issues, and businesses and visitors are operating as normal.

If that were to change, we will pivot. We will never guide a group to a place we believe to be unsafe. Rachel has hosted multiple retreats in Zihuatanejo over the past seven years and loves this region of Mexico.

  • Flight costs

  • Grocery costs will be split by the group evenly at the end. (Chef services are already included in the package, so it’s just the cost of the food that’s being split.)

  • Anyone who partakes in alcoholic beverages will also split the cost of the alcohol purchases at the end. (The daily bartender fee is already included in your package.)

  • Gratuity for Staff - villa staff, chef, boat captain, massage therapist, etc.
